As an artist I love the boring, the overlooked. Objects and scenes that are so ordinary that nobody notices them anymore. When stressed or tired after hard intellectual work I find great comfort in these objects and scenes. Table portraits

A table is a wonderful thing. It holds stories, even after the table is cleaned of the traces of those stories. What did the table witness, what did it hear? Did people cry? Was a negotiation finished? Was there fighting of flirting? The table knows but can never tell.
